Paramore!!

So, as many of you may know, Paramore's new, self-titled album came out yesterday. I have been listening to it constantly since they did the "4 sides 4 nights" thing on their website - safe to say I have fallen in love with them again! I've been hyped up about the album ever since they released 'Now', a song which took a little while to grow on me; "a little while" being about three listens. And then I loved it.

Before I knew it, 'Still Into You' had come out and unlike 'Now', I loved it instantly. The first time I heard it I found the lyric video hilarious, I was giggling for ages. How did I find hands pretending to sing so funny?! I don't know. But I thought it was also rather adorable, which is quite fitting with the song.

Speaking of 'Still Into You', the official video for it came out today! Yaaay!

I love it; they look like they had so much fun filming it and Hayley looks so adorable with all her pastel colours... however, I'm still trying to figure out what the yellow drippy things are - tights? Plastic sticky drippy things? The video reminds me a little of 'The Only Exception' and also Lily Allen's 'The Fear' (anyone else see the resemblance?).

Many people have said Paramore have changed their sound - I do agree to some extent, but from listening through the whole album many, many, MANY times, I can still hear the old Paramore in there. Especially in 'Part II', which is probably as it's a sequel to 'Let The Flames Begin'. As you may remember from my playlist for this week, this is by far my favourite off the album*. Also, a lot of people are now complaining that they've changed. I say, obviously they're going to change, they've grown up a lot in the past coming on four years since they released 'Brand New Eyes', and they also lost two members. Since within a band all the members tend to contribute, there is no longer the Josh-and-Zack-Farro-ness within the music. Of course it's going to sound different! I love that Paramore have taken a new direction and are experimenting with their sound, like I heard they have stated.

Meanwhile, here is the track listing for the new album:
1:   Fast In My Car
2:   Now
3:   Grow Up
