University and festival dilemmas!

This September I'm due to go to university, however I realised my UCAS application* hadn't been processed...

My best friend informed me that universities need to have responded by the end of this month, so I decided to get my butt in gear and go into college today to sort it out, even though I don't have college on Mondays. You see, these things are very important to get sorted out and I'm not one for messing about! However, I am one for procrastinating until the very last minute, whoops. Fingers crossed I'll get this sorted!

Meanwhile, if it does get sorted in time, the question is... WHERE DO I GO?! My top two options are to a) stay on at college for another two years doing the level 4 music course and then go to Southampton Solent uni for the third year to combine it into a degree, or b) go straight to Solent and do a three year degree. If I go for option A, it'll be cheaper in terms of education fees and whatnot. And I'll stay at home. However, if I go with option B, although it'll be a bit more expensive, I can move out and become a lot more independent. And I'll get to move to Southampton, yaaay! Gosport's okay, but everybody knows the city is more exciting.

I guess this is down to me to decide.

Anyway! Onto the topic of festivals. Many of you may know I was planning on going to Download this year, but then plans changed and I ended up having no one to go with. My dad found out about this, and so offered to pay for a day ticket to Isle of Wight for the Friday so I could go with him and my sister. Seeing as I thought I wouldn't be able to go to Download, I accepted. Here comes the annoying part. A matter of hours later, I found someone to go to Download with but by then it was too late, of course. Seriously though - look how good the line-up is!

And then I realised I could get a day ticket for the Saturday, however the thing that puts me off is the cost of actually getting up there and back... also the fact I will probably have nowhere to stay after the night finishes, as I live too far away from Download to actually get back at a decent time! Dilemmas, dilemmas. I really don't want to miss out on Iron Maiden and Alice in Chains though - they're two of my favourite bands... ahhh.

Sadtimes.
