The first edition of Fashion Friday is sort of like a special edition, as it focuses around those shorts that I wore at the Wedgewood Rooms that I was going to post a picture of them but they were in for washing at the time... Well, now they have been washed and I have a picture of them! Ta-da!
They're so preeetttyy. I bought them from Primark for only £10, if you're interested. Anyway - let's get on with this post. I have created a set using Polyvore (follow me here, I'll follow back!) of how and what I wore these shorts with. However, there were a couple of minor changes... Primark are annoying and do not have an online catalogue, meaning I can't 'grab' the photo and use the actual item(s) in the set! Therefore, I had to make do with some incredibly sweet substitutes with the shorts, tights and shoes.
Yep, you see it right. I wore a dress with the shorts. Basically how I managed to do this was I pulled the hem upwards so the skirt part was folded over, then I pulled it round myself and folded it even more at the back and somehow managed to tuck it into the tights. Then, I simply pulled the shorts on over the top of the tights, et voila! Successfully wearing a dress with shorts, surprisingly with minimal lumps and bumps. The tights I've included in the set are pretty much nothing like the ones I wore (as I couldn't find ones like the ones I wore) but I think any fancy patterned tights will look good. Also, you do not have to wear the Metallica necklace I included in the set (I wore this one onstage) as I know not everyone's going to like Metallica. Just wear any necklace that looks good with the rest of the outfit.
